Robert William Barker, popularly known as Bob Barker passed away sadly in his home in his home in the Hollywood Hills on August 26, 2023, at the age of 99. He is said to have passed away from natural causes.
He was an American television game show host who hosted a number of shows including CBS’s The Price Is Right, from 1972 to 2007 and Truth or Consequences from 1956 to 1975.

According to the information gathered, the late Barker joined the United States Navy Reserve in 1943 during World War II to train as a fighter pilot. At the time, he was a student at Drury College (now Drury University).
Though he joined the Military during World War II to train as a fighter pilot, he did not serve in combat.

training, including my qualifying landings on a carrier. I was all ready to go, and when
the enemy heard that I was headed for the Pacific, they surrendered. That was the end of
